Casares is by far one of the most beautiful villages on the Costa del Sol.
It is a very small white village with a 3,000 people community.
It has amazing views of the sea panorama.
The municipal area of Casares stretches from the villages of the Sierra Crestellina in the North, to Estepona in the East, Manilva and the Mediterranean Sea in the South and Cádiz in the West.
It is 35 minutes away from Marbella’s center and surroundings.
It is visited especially for its interest points such as: the castle, Our Lady’s Church, Ballesteros and La Hedionda caves.
The village has been renowned for the human presence since prehistoric times.
It is filled with Roman relics as the legend goes about Iulius Caesar that the old village of Lacipo was built from his order to show gratitude.
There is also a lot of structure and design present that dates back to the Moslem occupation.
Blas Infante Perez de Vargas was born here and it is one of the leading figures of Andalusian nationalism.
In 1978 Casares became a Village of Historical and Artistic Importance.
